Turkish Bank Pozitif had purchased 100% shares of Demir Kazakhstan Bank

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Almaty, November 23, 07/ - Turkish Bank Pozitif, 57.55% shares of which belong to Israel Bank Hapoalim Ltd, purchased 100% shares of Demir Kazakhstan Bank. "100 % of our shares are sold to Turkish bank Bank Pozitif. Deal was finished on November 21", - the chairman of board of Demir Kazakhstan Bank Emir Deldag told to Interfax-Kazakhstan agency. By his words, the new shareholder intends to increase shareholders equity of Demir Kazakhstan Bank to $40 m. in year 2008. "We are planning to increase shareholders equity in year 2008 to $40 m. (...) This indicator as of November 21, 2007 made $25.3 m.", - he added. "As a whole, sum of investments (from the side of Pozitiff. - "IF-K) to our bank makes $70 m. considering purchasing", E.Deldag informed. Except this, by his words, next year Demir Kazakhstan Bank will be re- named. It is not clear, what will be the name", - the chairman of bank's board added. E.Deldag had also noted, that Demir Kazakhstan Bank plans in nearest three years to increase amount of its subsidiaries and settlement-cash departments (SCD) to 35. Currently the credit organization has 5 subsidiaries and 2 SCD in Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Karaganda and Shymkent. "We'll open additional SCD in Astana and Almaty, possibly we'll be represented in Aktau and Aktobe, and we are thinking about other regions yet", - the head of the bank told. "We'll support the high liquidity market, high quality of assets. We'll actively develop small and middle business and retail sectors", - E.Deldag added.
