E. Shaykenov appointed as Chairman of BTA Bank subsidiary-Temirbank (Kazakhstan)

/KASE, May 8, 09/ - BTA Bank subsidiary-Temirbank (Almaty), a company
listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided KASE with a press
release:
Quotation beginning
May 4, 2009 directors of Temirbank held absent voting in regard of election of
line-up of bank management.
Directors decided to appoint Erzhan Shaykenov as a new chairman of Temirbank.
Shaykenov has been executing functions of a bank chairman since February 24
this year. Besides, according to a decision of directors, the new line-up will
include Daulet Karymbaev and Mansur Moldakhmetov. Ablakhat Kebirov and Askhat
Estaev were ousted from the board.
Erzhan Shaykenov was born July 26, 1978 in Almaty. Graduated from Kazakh
state management academy, faculty "International economical relations", majored
in Banking and International finance in Cass Business School, City University,
(London, Great Britain). Earlier he worked in ABN AMRO Bank Kazakhstan and
ATFBank supervising project and corporate financing, later he was a managing
director of Temirbank supervising corporate crediting; he was acting as
Temirbank's chairman since February 24.
Daulet Karymbaev was born in 1971. Graduated from Kazakh consumer
cooperation institute, faculty "Finance and credit" (Karaganda); and Russian
state service academy with Russian President, faculty "State and municipal
administration" (Moscow, RF). Earlier he worked in OAO BTA Bank (Kazakhstan)
heading development of subsidiary CIS banks, in OAO Agroincombank
(Astrakhan, RF) as a board chairman and OAO BTA Bank (Moscow, RF) as an
executive director.
Mansur Moldakhmetov was born July 13, 1974 in Almaty. He graduated from
Kazakhstan Almaty based Inner affairs high school. Earlier he worked in Halyk
Savings Bank of Kazakhstan, and Nurbank supervising bad credits, in Temirbank
as an advisor to chairman, and a bad credit department director, in BTA Bank he
headed bad credit department.
Temirbank is among ten largest Kazakhstan banks. The bank has branches in 21
regions. As on March 31, 2009 bank assets reached over KZT327 bn., own
capital equaled over KZT30 bn.
Stable and reliable, Temirbank renders full range of bank services and partakes
in the state program for mortgage loans refinancing. As on May 7 the bank
refinanced over KZT2.1 bn. credits.
