KAZAKHMYS PLC (United Kingdom) allocated KZT107 million for reconstruction of Tokrau-Sayak conduit in Karaganda region

/KASE, February 2, 11/ - KAZAKHMYS PLC (London), common shares of which are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided to KASE the following press release of February 2, 2011: quotation Kazakhmys Group allocated KZT107 million for reconstruction of Tokrau-Sayak conduit in Karaganda region. The reconstruction shall be completed by the end of February 2011. The total cost of reconstruction being implemented jointly with Karaganda Region Akimat shall make up over KZT220 million. Existing at present conduit has been constructed in 1966 and is at the emergency condition. The population of Sayak village that is located 220 km from Balkhash city and on the territory of which is located the Sayak pit have problems with drinking water.
