According to the results of the global rating survey of financial institutions
published by the British magazine "Global Brands", JSC Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan
(with the brand "Halyk Savings Bank") has won the "Best Banking Performer,
Kazakhstan" 2014 with Global Brands Magazine Awards.
"Global Brands Magazine Awards" – An annual awards program of the magazine
talking about different brands in various industries, includes the financial
sector. An external research team was constituted to evaluate the nominees.
Data was collected by the team from different sources including third party
data providers and annual reports.
The variables considered for study included the Banks Revenue, Profit/Loss,
Market Capitalization, Return on Equity for the last three years, Tier 1 Capital
Ratio, Liabilities, International Ratings, Capital Adequacy Ratio (With &
Without Market Risk), Dividend Paid, Non-Performing Assets to Total Assets,
Return on Assets, Price-Earnings Ratio and Asset Diversification.
More than 3,300 Banks were evaluated in the study conducted by "Global Brands"
resulting in a final list of rankings including about a hundred financial
institutions worldwide.
