/KASE, October 9, 14/ – By shares trading results on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange
(KASE) on October 9, 2014, KASE index decreased by 9.42 points (0.82 %) from
1,153.92 to 1,144.50.
The first deal fixed the index at 1,153.44. During the trades the maximum value
made up 1,153.44, the minimum – 1,140.40.
Volume of deals in shares included in the KASE index representative list, on
October 9 against the previous trading day in tenge decreased by 23.8 % and made
up KZT38.0 mln (USD209.2 th.).

The last KASE Index value on any day is the last index value fixed on KASE on
this day.
The KASE Index shows a change in prices of the index representative list stocks
for calculation of the index, with account to capitalization of such issuers and
a number of such stocks in free float. One stock weight must not exceed 15 %.
The KASE Index is calculated during a trading day as deals in the representative
list stocks are concluded. If during a trading day no deals are made in a
representative list stock, then for purposes of such calculation results of the
last resultant trade session are used.
