National atomic company Kazatomprom announces results of 2014 Q3 operations

/KASE, October 29, 14/ – National atomic company "Kazatomprom" JSC (Astana), whose bonds are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press-release of October 28, 2014: quote Following the results of the III quarter of 2014, uranium output in the Republic of Kazakhstan is 5,7 thousand ton, that is in compliance with plan figure. Uranium production volume of NAC Kazatomprom for the III quarter of 2014 with account of share in subsidiaries and affiliates is 3,16 thousand ton. Ulba Metallurgical Plant in the III quarter of 2014 had 430,4 ton of beryllium and 17,6 ton of tantalum output. In July-September of 2014 МАEC-Kazatomprom has produced for consumers of Aktau and Mangisstau oblast 3 140 million kWh of electric energy, 578 thousand Gcal of thermal energy, 102,6 million cubic meters of water, including 7,4 million cubic meters of drinking water. These parameters cover requirements of region in energy and water. According to its development program NAC Kazatomprom continued in the III quarter the operations in the strategic areas of Company’s activities in the field of conversion, enrichment and nuclear fuel manufacturing. UEC CJSC made shipment of 2 192 119 SWU of the finished products. In the III quarter JV SARECO LLP produced 82 ton of bulk concentrates of rare- earth metals. The finished products were shipped for the consumer in Russian Federation. It is planned to commence deliveries to Japan.
