officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with
the following press release:

BTA Bank JSC (BTA) and Kazkommertsbank JSC (KKB) announce the
termination as of June 23 of BTA license to conduct banking and other
operations and activities in the securities market in connection with the
voluntary request of BTA submitted to the National Bank of Kazakhstan to
terminate license.
The license was terminated on the basis of the Order of the National Bank of
Kazakhstan No. 268 of June 23, 2003 "On the termination of the license to
conduct banking and other operations and activities in the securities market
issued to BTA Bank JSC".
