ATF Bank extends deadlines for reregistration of bank deposit agreements within framework of individual deposits compensation program

"Our bank launched the individual deposits compensation mechanism on September 15, 2015. Now we are actively working towards this goal, and many customers whose deposits qualify under the terms of the compensation program have already renewed their deposit agreements. The decision of the National Bank of Kazakhstan to extend deadlines for applications acceptance and renewal of agreements was a valid and appropriate step. This will allow us to provide the broadest possible coverage of depositors interested in obtaining the compensation," - said the executive director of ATF Bank, Sergei Kovalenko. Current procedure for payment of compensation on deposits of individuals, opened in the national currency (tenge) provides for the following conditions for participation of depositors in the compensation program: availability of the existing bank term deposit opened in the national currency (tenge) as of the end of the trading day August 18, 2015 (only the difference on the deposits which were effective as of August 18, 2015 is compensated); the deposit balance as of the end of the trading day August 18 should be no more than KZT1,000,000 (the amount less than 50 tiyn is rounded to zero, and the amount equal to fifty tiyn and above shall be rounded up to one tenge); the depositor should undertake the obligation to maintain the deposit in the special account for at least one year following the date of the deposit renewal. In order to obtain compensation for the deposit eligible for the program the ATFBank customers until December 1, 2015 shall visit any branch of the Bank for the renewal of the bank deposit agreement.
