JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("KMG EP" or "the Company") announces its
consolidated interim financial results for the three months ended 31 March 2016.
KMG EP's first quarter revenue was 121bn Tenge (US$341m)1, up 4% year on
year. The decline in the average Brent price from US$54 per barrel in the first
quarter of 2015 to US$34 per barrel in the first quarter of 2016 was fully
offset by a 92% increase in the Tenge – US dollar exchange rate, which resulted
in an increase of the Company’s revenue in KZT terms.
