1 to December 30, 2016 Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (the Exchange or KASE) is
to hold a contest among media reps "Stock market of Kazakhstan and new
frontiers for local companies" (the Contest).
The contest aims to encourage Kazakhstan journalists and the media to provide
extensive coverage of the stock market and enhance financial literacy with
improved quantity and quality of releases about the stock market.
The main objectives of the contest are:
1) increasing the investment literacy of the population and the stock market
awareness;
2) increasing the number of quality releases on the stock market of
Kazakhstan;
3) improving the level of expertise of journalists in financial awareness
matters with establishing a pool of journalists, skillfully covering this
topic on a regular basis;
4) recognizing the contribution of the media in the process of increasing the
investment literacy of the population;
5) informing local companies and investors about the possibilities of the
stock market of Kazakhstan.
The contest is open to the Kazakhstan media themed issue authors.
The materials presented will be judged by a contest committee in the following
categories:
1) "Best TV story or best TV program";
2) "Best article in the press";
3) "Best material online".
To participate you should submit an application and a contest work to 8th floor
Northern Tower "Almaty Towers" 280 Baizakov Str., Almaty, Kazakhstan, 050040,
Department of Marketing and PR and/or in electronic form to pr@kase.kz marked
"media contest".

The contest results will be announced in January 2017 and posted on KASE
website.
The award ceremony will be held in February 2017, the date and venue to be
announced.
