/KASE, May 18, 2017/ – As previously reported, the Board of Directors of
Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on April 27, 2017 approved the revised
KASE internal document "Listing Rules" (Rules), effective as of June 1, 2017.
In particular, the revised Rules set forth the new structure of KASE official
list.
Starting from June 1, 2017, KASE official list will be divided into the primary
listing with large issuers and an alternative listing with SMEs.
The companies were split into two platforms in order to:
1)raise the listing prestige;
2)improve the strategy to attract new issuers and investors;
3)develop and introduce new instruments for each platform targeting the needs
and opportunities of a particular group of issuers and the interests of a
certain group of investors;
4)create a more transparent, convenient and understandable structure of the
official list for all categories of investors, issuers and other interested
parties.
The revised Rules will be published on KASE website
