/KASE, May 22, 2017/ – Delta Bank (Almaty), whose securities are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has informed KASE that "on May 22, 2017 the Bank received a resolution of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan to suspend the license for banking and other transactions and activities in securities market issued to Delta Bank including acceptance of deposits, opening of bank accounts of individuals and legal entities as of May 18, 2017". This decision was taken by the National Bank within the framework of the supervisory response to the Bank’s violations of the requirements of banking laws and the need to improve internal control systems based on the grounds provided for in sub-clauses в) and г) of clause 1 of Article 48 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Banks and Banking Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan" for repeated (three or more times within twelve consecutive calendar months) improper performance of contractual obligations on payment and transfer transactions and the repeated (three or more times within twelve consecutive calendar months) violation of prudential standards and (or) other mandatory standards and limits. The license was suspended for acceptance of new deposits and opening of new bank accounts of individuals and legal entities and does not apply to service of existing deposits and the Bank's customers. As of May 1, 2017 the volume of accepted deposits of individuals of Delta Bank amounts to KZT0.6 bn, deposits of legal entities to KZT115.7 bn.
