/KASE, August 4, 2017/ – Delta Bank (Almaty), whose securities are officially
listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with an
statement to announce that "on August 3, 2017 the Bank received a resolution of
the National Bank to suspend of a license for banking and other stock market
transactions and activities issued to Delta Bank such as accepting deposits,
opening bank accounts of individuals and legal entities".

The National Bank’s statement on "Delta Bank’s license for banking and other
stock market transactions and activities such as accepting deposits, opening
bank accounts of individuals and legal entities" dated August 3, 2017 is as
follows:

Delta Bank’s license for banking and other stock market transactions and
activities such as accepting deposits, opening bank accounts of individuals and
legal entities was suspended as of August 4, 2017 until November 2, 2017 by the
National Bank’s resolution No. 152 of July 31, 2017
This decision was taken by the National Bank within the framework of the
supervisory response to certain violations by the Bank in the field of the
banking law and the need to improve the internal control systems, on the
grounds provided for in sub-clauses в) and г) of clause 1) the Law of the
Republic of Kazakhstan "On Banks and Banking Activities in the Republic of
Kazakhstan" for repeated (three or more times during the twelve consecutive
calendar months) improper performance of contractual obligations under the
payment and transfer transactions and repeated (three and more times during the
twelve consecutive calendar months) violation of prudential standards and (or)
other mandatory standards and limits.
The license was suspended as to the new deposits and new bank accounts for
individuals and legal entities and does not concern the existing deposits and
the Bank’s clients.
As of July 1, 2017, the deposits of individuals opened with Delta Bank are
KZT0.25 bln, deposits of legal entities are KZT85.6 bln. The Bank's deposit
portfolio takes 0.5% of the total deposits within the banking sector.
