Bank RBK announces participation in Program of strengthening financial stability of banking sector in Republic of Kazakhstan and appointment of Torsten Paul Chairman of Board of Directors

/KASE, November 7, 2017/ – Bank RBK (Almaty), whose securities are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press release of November 7, 2017: quote Bank RBK (the Bank) informs you that in the course of the extraordinary general meeting on November 7, 2017 in Almaty, shareholders of the Bank voted for participation of Bank RBK in the Program of strengthening the financial stability of the banking sector being implemented by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Also, following a decision of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, Torsten Paul was appointed a member of the Board of Directors – independent director of the Bank. The Bank's Board of Directors appointed Torsten Paul the Chairman of the Bank's Board of Directors. Mr. Paul's appointment comes amid a framework agreement signed between Bank RBK, the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Bank and Kazakhmys group of companies. Strengthening its top management the Bank hopes to set priorities of its further development and consequently implement all tasks specified by shareholders. With his 20-year track record of working in global banks Mr. Paul will contribute valuable competencies to renew and rehabilitate the financial institution and consecutively transform it into one of the most stable, firm and reliable banks in Kazakhstan.
