/KASE, August 29, 2023/ – By a decision of the Management Board of
Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE, or the Exchange) dated July 27, 2023,
changes and additions No. 1 to the internal document of KASE "Rules for the
annual rewarding of members of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC" (the
Rules) were approved, with effect from January 1, 2024.
In accordance with the amendments, the following new nominations have been
added and criteria have been developed for determining nominees for rewarding:
1) nomination "For contribution to the development of the exchange market of
the Chinese yuan", which rewards a member of KASE who has
demonstrated the greatest trading activity in relation to the Chinese yuan;
2) nomination "For contribution to the development of the exchange market of
the Russian ruble", which rewards a member of KASE who has
demonstrated the greatest trading activity in relation to the Russian ruble;
3) nomination "Best Financial Advisor", which rewards a member of KASE who
has demonstrated the greatest activity in providing advisory services to
issuers on the issue of corporate securities and listing of securities on the
Exchange.
In addition, the methodology for determining a candidate when rewarding a
member of KASE in the "Underwriter of the Year" nomination has been changed,
according to which the indicator of activity when providing services to issuers
for placement is calculated based on a formula taking into account the volume
of trades, the number of issuers and the number of trading accounts
participating in the placement. The following conditions have been added:
- placements of corporate debt securities denominated in tenge with a yield to
maturity below the key rate established by the National Bank of the Republic
of Kazakhstan on the day of bonds placement by more than 2.00
percentage points and/or are not taken into account;
- placement of corporate issuable securities, in which the entire declared
volume of placement was redeemed by one person (on one account or
within one transaction).
