The reduction of this indicator was the most significant since August last year. In comparison with January 2009 the volume of industrial production for January 2010 decreased by 1.5%. In December 2009, industrial output in the UK, on specified data, rose by 0.5% in monthly terms (coinciding with the preliminary data) and annual - fell by 3.7% (previously reported decline of 3.6% ).
