REVIEW: KASE market of shares in December 2011
/IRBIS, December 22, 2011/ - In December 2011, on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on shares in all sectors 949 transactions were recorded totaling 18,089.7 million tenge or 122.1 million U.S. dollars at current exchange rates at the dates of transactions. The said amount is 44.7% of the monthly volume of transactions in the market of corporate securities of KASE (in November 2011 - 7.5%) and 1.0% of the total exchange monthly turnover (0.1%).
The sharp rise in trading volumes on the secondary market sales was driven by higher volumes of transactions with ordinary and preferred shares of JSC "SAT & Company", which accounted for 38.9% and 38.2% of the total volume of transactions concluded in December, respectively. Recall, December 23, 2011 JSC "SAT & Company" reported that the Board of Directors decided to place 230,334,000 preferred shares KZ1P54620110 (KZ1P00000566, SATCp) at a price of 30.00 tenge per share. In addition, earlier November 18, 2011 it was announced that the Board of Directors of JSC "SAT & Company" decided to place 75 million ordinary shares KZ1C54620014 (KZ1C00000553, SATC) at a price of 71.00 tenge per share on the informal market.
As a result of December 2011 at the KASE average daily prices of shares of 52% of titles have increased (in November - 29%), decreased - 43% of titles (54%), prices of 4% have not changed (17%). Maximum trends for the month showed the following tools: KZTKp grew by 43.9%, BTAS fell by 48.8%. In November 2011 the maximum trends were shown by AMGZp (+60.0%) and UTMK (-29.9%).
