Kazakhmys PLC announces that on 4 April 2012 it purchased from Citigroup Global Markets U.K. Equity Limited 168,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 891.7514 pence per share. The highest price paid was 908.0 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 883.0 pence per share. The purchased shares will be considered as Company own shares. Following the above purchase, Kazakhmys PLC holds 8,342,503 ordinary shares in treasury and has 527,075,458 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
