Beginning on April 1, 2004 Zerde OJSC to perform registrar services for PetroKazakhstan Oil Products OJSC (Kazakhstan)

/KASE, February 12, 04/ - PetroKazakhstan Oil Products (Shymkent, former ShNOS OJSC), whose securities are circulating in official listing category of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (bonds - "A" category, shares - "B" category), submitted to KASE copies of minutes of company's Board of Directors dated January 22 and 26 of 2004.

At the meeting held on January 22, 2004, the Board of directors voted in favor of current president Mr. Thomas Paul Dvorzhak, allowing him to occupy two positions at the same time. Mr. Dvorzhak was elected as president of PetroKazakhstan Ventures Inc.

At the meeting held on January 26, 2004, the Board of Directors decided following:

beginning on April 1, 2004 to rescind an agreement with REESTR SERVIS LLP (Almaty) on rendering registrar services dated January 14, 2002 #25;

to approve an agreement with Zerde OJSC (Almaty)on rendering registrar services;

to charge Zerde OJSC with maintenance of securities register beginig on April 1, 2004.

Companies principal activities include oil refining and sale of oil products.
