/KASE, August 18, 08/ - On August 18, 2008 ATFBank (Almaty) acting
representative of holders of infrastructure bonds KZ2CKY23B672 of
Doszhan Temir Zholy (DTZ) (Almaty, official KASE list of category "A",
DTJLb1; KZT1,000, KZT30.0 bn.; 02.08.05 - 02.08.28, annual coupon
indexed to inflation rate, 19.95 % APR as for the current coupon period,
30/360), notified Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) in an official letter
that Doszhan Temir Zholy has not paid the coupon in the period of
regular coupon payment on indicated bonds ended August 15, 2008,
which testifies on default of Doszhan Temir Zholy (DTZ).
In its turn on August 18, 2008 Doszhan Temir Zholy provided KASE with
an official letter that says "payment of regular annual coupon interest
on infrastructure bonds for the coupon period beginning 02.08.2007
through 02.08.2008 will be made within 30 days provided the Agency
of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of
Financial Market and Financial Organizations approves the resolution
of the Government of RK on increase of sum of government guarantee and
registration of issue of infrastructure bonds".
