On October 16, Almaty city special financial court decided to fully satisfy BTA Bank application on restructuring. In compliance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Banks and Banking Activities" the bank decision on restructuring was recognized grounded and compliant with all corresponding requirements of the legislation.

Due to this the bank was charged to present and approve at the creditors meeting the restructuring plan, which shall be considered fair for all creditors on the bank restructured obligations.

As previously informed, negotiations on BTA external debt restructuring are continuing within set by the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations terms. At present the bank signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Creditors Committee and got AFS approval of the restructuring plan in the version proposed by bank. Till December 7, the bank must sign an agreement with Creditors Committee and submit it to AFS.
