/IRBIS, December 23, 2011/ - In JSC "KazMunaiGas Exploration Production" new CEO was elected, reported December 22 press office of the Company.

Reportedly, December 22, 2011 Chairman of the Board (CEO) of the Company, Askar Balzhanov resigned.

Alik Aidarbayev, who was until that time the Chairman of the Board of Directors, was elected as Chairman of the Board (CEO) of KMG EP. Sisengali Utegaliev will temporarily perform the duties of Chairman of the Board of Directors until the election of new President.

Alik Aidarbayev was elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors at a regular full-time Board of Directors meeting May 6, 2011. Mr. Aidarbayev graduated from the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute named after Vladimir Lenin, the oil and gas industry since 1985. He has passed all stages of professional development in the oil and gas production, a senior geologist, then the technologist, master, deputy shop for oil and gas in NGDU "Zhetybayneft" association "Mangyshlakneft". Over the years, he has been holding senior positions in the production association "Yuzhkazneftegaz". He also served as General Director of JSC "Turgay Petroleum" and JSC "MangistauMunaiGas". From April 2011 was managing director for exploration and production of JSC "National Company "KazMunayGas".
