Chairman of the Executive committee - CIS's Executive secretary Sergei Lebedev arrived today in Almaty to take part in a meeting of the Council of Inter- parliament Assembly of countries - CIS members. During the first day of his working visit Sergei Lebedev met with EDB's CEO Igor Finogenov at the Bank's HQ in Almaty.

At the meeting Chairman of the Bank's Management Board reported about EDB's achievements for the past 6 years of operations in the region, successfully completed projects financed by the Bank, about tasks for the nearest future. Sergei Lebedev, on his part, highlighted EDB's important role in issues of integration and economic development of the Bank's members.

The meeting of the Council of Inter-parliament Assembly of countries - members of the Commonwealth of Independent States will be held on March 27. It should be noted that this meeting has been aligned with the 20th anniversary of the Council of Inter-parliament Assembly of countries - CIS members. It is expected that delegations from the Azerbaijan Republic, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Ukraine, representatives of international parliamentary institutions will arrive to take part in the meeting.
