/KASE, April 9, 12/ - JSC "Chimpharm" (Shymkent), whose shares are officially listed at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), today provided KASE with the following communique:

An information meeting is going to be held today, April 9, 2012, dedicated to implementation of investment plans of JSC "Chimpharm" in accordance with the Government Program for Accelerated Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2010 - 2014 (AIID).

An ampoule and infusion production facility with modern equipment will be built in 2012. Further modernization and extension of production capacities, infrastructure optimization and technology transfer will continue until 2014. The company is supposed to invest around USD84 m into the quality of its products.

Development of JSC "Chimpharm" will have a substantial impact on the development of the entire pharmaceutical sector in Kazakhstan and are in line with main directions of the industry's development, set in AIID Program with regard to modernization of existing production, construction of new pharmaceutical enterprises and implementation of major investment projects.

• Wlodzimierz Griglevich, general director of JSC "Chimpharm"
• Heads of medical institutions, presidents of medical associations, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan
