/KASE, May 8, 13/ – JSC "KazMunaiGas Exploration Production" (Astana), whose shares are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press-release of May 8, 2013:

JSC National Company KazMunaiGas ("NC KMG") has informed JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production ("KMG EP" or "the Company") of its intention to fully repay the outstanding principal and accrued interest of its Bonds, in cash from its own resources. KMG EP purchased the KZT 222 billion (US$ 1.5 billion) NC KMG Bonds in June 2010 with a maturity date of June 24, 2013.

As at December 31, 2012 the outstanding principal and accrued interest of the Bonds was 134bn tenge (US$892m).

NC KMG’s decision follows the successful issue of US$ 3 billion NC KMG Eurobonds placed in April 2013.
